Boston Blogger Cookie Challenge Submissions
Did you know that we’re hosting a Boston Blogger Challenge? Yep, we’re giving away an opportunity to watch a live taping of America’s Test Kitchen (get more details here). The contest doesn’t end until May 10, but we’ve been receiving so many fun submissions that I thought I’d share some of them here. Feel free to visit the blogs and leave them a comment!

Perfect Chocolate Chip Cookies, by Melody Chen (@BakingwEmandM)
“This recipe, from Cook’s Illustrated and America’s Test Kitchen, is beyond amazing. And I mean, beyond. They look like they were made by professionals and they taste like heaven. After we took a bite from these cookies, the kitchen was just filled with “Mmmm” for a good 5 minutes. My friends and I were speechless!”

“In conclusion, these cookies were intimidating to make, but if the rest of them are anything like the one I ate 12 seconds after it came out of the oven, they were totally worth the trouble. Now I need to get them out of the house so I can continue to be able to button my pants.”
Cook’s Illustrated’s PERFECT Chocolate Chip Cookies, by Beth Ryan
“Since there was no way I could fairly assess the outcome of these cookies, I had to wait for my favorite taster to come home. My poor husband barely got a chance to put his bag down before I was twisting his arm to try a cookie. He wanted to wait until after dinner, and there was no convincing him to eat cookie first, chicken later. (Um, hi, we’re grown ups – we can eat dessert whenever we want!)”

“But I have to be honest, the prize caused a bit of marital strife. You see, if you win you get to bring a guest. When I was talking to my husband about it he asked me if he could be my guest. ::Insert awkward moment here:: You see, hours before I had already pinky sweared (and you know that means business) to Megan that if either of us won, we would take the other. It was a tense few minutes.”
A Blondie In Disguise, by Candy Wong (@DessertByCandy)
“When I removed them from the oven, they were puffy with a slight dome which subsequently settled down into attractive crackles. I carefully torn one apart and the chewy texture was apparent.”
The Perfect Chocolate Chip Cookie, by Marie Flanagan (@reetsyburger)
“I’m the kind of nutcase who hovers around the oven while my cookies are baking, so with a timer and some attentiveness I managed to rotate the trays as suggested. It made a RADICAL difference in the consistency of the cookies.”

Perfect Chocolate Chip Cookies, by Brandy Clabaugh (@NutmegNanny)
“I have now learned that when it comes to recipe development I’m going to leave it to the professionals. They seem to know what they are doing. That is why when I wanted a cookie I went to Cook’s Illustrated. They did the hard work for me. They perfected the recipe. It has brown butter, dark brown sugar and dark chocolate chips. Oh man…..so delicious.”
America’s Test Kitchen- The Best Chocolate Chip Ever?, by Michelle Talisesky (@michellet11)
“I must admit I was skeptical about the recipe at first because I am a huge Tollhouse cookie fan- they are nostalgic for me. More recently, I became a Flour chocolate chunk cookie fan too. I wasn’t sure if this cookie would outdo the others, especially because it involved more work with an extra step of browning the butter… Friends, I am here to tell you, that this recipe ROCKS!”
