Sausage on the Go: A Grill for Your Bike: Cars have grilles built into them, and now bikes can too, but spelled without the “e.” Mathias Hintermann, a Los Angeles-based product designer, came up with the “Backbrat,” a product meant to cater to people who love to bike and also love to grill. The small cooktop mounts on the back of a bicycle without adding too much extra weight, thanks to its construction of silicone, fiberglass, and a polyurethane insulator. The grill pan is large enough to hold a number of items, including bratwursts, thuringers, and frankfurters. While biking and grilling at the same time probably isn’t safe or possible, once you put down that kickstand, you’ll have a hot sausage in a matter of minutes.
