Deepak Chopra Says Dining Alone is Actually Awesome: NPR’s Weekend Edition Sunday host Rachel Martin spoke to Dan Pashman, host of the podcast The Sporkful, about the benefits of dining alone, and their conversation made us want to call up a restaurant and make a reservation for one. Pashman also talked to Deepak Chopra about the subject, and the holistic guru was all for it, saying, “I like to make a distinction between solitude and being alone. Alone signifies loneliness, whereas solitude means really connecting with yourself.” So go ahead and treat yourself to a nice dinner: It’s good not only for the taste buds, but also for the mind.
