New Study Reveals People Have Been Eating Curry for Over 4000 Years: Curry might just be the oldest continuously eaten meal on the planet. Scientists Arunima Kashyap and Steve Weber have discovered evidence of the classic Indian cuisine on remains of dishes from 2500 B.C. The study, funded by the University of Washington at Vancouver, entailed gathering ancient skeletons and dirty dishes and putting them under powerful microscopes to examine tiny food particles that may still be stuck to the remains. Kashyap and Weber also found evidence of ginger and turmeric on ancient cow teeth, because people would place their leftovers on plates outside their homes for their cattle on which to graze. Talk about time-tested recipes.
