Astronauts’ Meals Through the Years: We thought we were intense about testing at the Test Kitchen, but NASA may be even more scientific with their Space Food Systems Laboratory, where they research the best way to feed their fearless space-goers. Space is a hard environment for the human body to adjust to, and therefore nutrition is doubly important. While most of us think of freeze-dried ice cream when we think of astronaut food, NASA is working to find sustainable solutions that will allow astronauts to potentially grow farm fare while floating around their spaceships. Mashable has a slideshow that the agency recently released of photos of astronaut food through the ages. Earth to space-obsessed foodies.
