A Banana Vending Machine: Tokyobling, a blogger in (yes, you guessed it) Tokyo, recently posted about a banana vending machine. Japan is known for its quirky vending machines—other products available for instant gratification include apples, cut flowers, and even bicycles. This Japanese trend seems like a great way to encourage better eating habits; just insert a dollar, and instead of a bag of chips, grab a ‘naner. America would be smart to look east for easy, economical eating inspiration.
