Largest Prawn Stew Served in the Philippines: The Southern Leyte State University in Bontoc, Phillipines recently served the world’s largest prawn stew. More than 400 people partook in the massive soup-a-thon, in which over 10,500 pieces of shrimp were swimming (well, not actually swimming). The world record attempt was a part of the two-day First International Fresh Water Prawn Congress that SLSU, which specializes in fisheries and aquatic research, sponsored.
