Bluefin Tuna Sells for 1.76 Million in Tokyo: The Japanese love their bluefin tuna (you’ve probably seen it on menus as “o-toro” or “fatty tuna”), but with the recent record setting sale of a 489-pound fish on Saturday, that love reached new levels. The winning bidder was Kiyoshi Kimura, who is the president of Kiomura Co., operator of the Sushi-Zanmai restaurant chain. The price per pound of the fish works out to $3,603. That’s one pricey tuna.
