Culinary Low Points of 2012: There were lots of misses in the culinary world this year, including egregiously gluttonous uses of butter at the Iowa State Fair (deep-fried sticks of the stuff—really?) and unfortunate cookbook titles (Cooking with Poo, named after the author’s nickname, which means crab in Thai).
