Anonymous Donor Reimburses School for Stolen Food Drive Canned Goods: The third- through fifth-graders at Jefferson School in Independence, Kan., were devastated when the $480 worth of canned goods they’d gathered for their holiday food drive was stolen by a holiday grinch. But according to principal Debbie Toomey, the students’ faith in humanity was restored after an anonymous benefactor generously donated $400 to replace the stolen goods.
