Minnesota Grocery Store Owner Retires, Leaves Business to Employees: Christmas has come early for the employees of Leuken’s Village Foods, a chain of supermarkets with two storefronts in Minnesota and one in North Dakota. The 70-year-old owner, Joe Lueken, has decided to leave his successful businesses to the stores’ 400 employees after he retires in January. “My employees are largely responsible for any success I’ve had, and they deserve to get some of the benefits of that,” Lueken said earlier this week. “You can’t always take. You also have to give back.”
