Pittsburgh Food Pantry Volunteer Honored for 30 Years of Service: 92-year-old Elmer Brown was recognized for his three decades of service to Pittsburgh’s McDonald Area Food Bank, where he volunteered every month and, until recently, served as food bank president. According to his daughter, Maryellen Moorehead, Brown once nearly skipped a relative’s out-of-town wedding because he didn’t want to miss volunteering. “He arranged his life around it,” Moorehead said.
