Can Jay-Z Boost White Truffle Sales?: Jay-Z has sway in the hip-hop world. He famously made Cristal champagne rappers’ drink of choice—and then boycotted the beverage after the company expressed displeasure with being associated with the demographic. And now, after visiting truffle traders in northern Italy (and dropping almost $30,000 on them), they’re hoping their produce will be the next food item to feel the “Jay-Z effect.”
