Gaza Restaurant Employs Staff That is Entirely Deaf: In an effort to integrate people with special needs into the Palestinian society, a new restaurant staffed by people who are deaf and mute recently opened in the Gaza Strip. The restaurant employs 14 servers who use a series of signs and numbers to facilitate communication between them and their diners. One percent of Gaza’s residents suffer from partial or total deaf-muteness.
