Post Hurricane, New York City’s Chefs Start Over: Like many of the areas hit hard by Hurricane Sandy, New York City—and its bustling restaurant scene—is still reeling from the damage. But as Grubstreet found out from interviewing several of the city’s chefs, there’s no time for wallowing. “There’s really no time to deal with heartbreak or anything like that,” said chef Brad McDonald, whose restaurant was essentially destroyed in the storm. “We’re pushing through the business hours—we kind of let our hearts fall heavy at the end of the day.”
